Shift: 7:00 PM-7:30 AM (3x12)

Contract Duration:13 Weeks

Pay rate : $80- $84.00 Per Hour on W2

Job Summary: we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our team in the 8S PEDS ICU department. The RN will deliver compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill pediatric patients and support their families through challenging healthcare experiences. This position requires a strong clinical foundation in pediatric intensive care, maternal and child health, and procedural skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and individualized nursing care to pediatric ICU patients.

Perform and document assessments, plan and deliver patient care, and evaluate outcomes.

Administer medications and treatments, including conscious sedation.

Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy with a high level of proficiency.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to implement comprehensive care plans.

Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and care transitions.

Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2 years of Maternal and Child Health nursing experience.

Proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy.

Experience with conscious sedation protocols and monitoring.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

Education & Certifications Required:

Valid New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification

American Heart Association (AHA) PALS Certification

Verified training and experience in IV and phlebotomy techniques
