Central Carolina Hospital – A Duke LifePoint Hospital 135 Carthage St Sanford, NC 27330 Orientation is weekly, on Mondays Nestled in the heart of central North Position Summary: Central Carolina Hospital is seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a night shift travel assignment. The RN will be responsible for providing acute care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions in a fast-paced emergency department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage and assess patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on acuity
  • Administer medications and emergency interventions as prescribed
  • Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with physicians, lab technicians, and support staff to ensure timely treatment
  • Operate emergency medical equipment and assist with diagnostic procedures
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation within the EMR system
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
  • Follow hospital protocols and safety procedures in accordance with regulatory standards

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum of 2+ years recent Emergency Room experience in acute care settings
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • PALS and TNCC certifications preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Familiarity with emergency equipment and EMR systems
