A board-certified Hematology/Oncology Physician providing both inpatient and outpatient care, managing daily patient consultations and follow-ups. Responsibilities include clinic and hospital rounds, handling new consults, inpatient admissions, and on-call duties with support from multidisciplinary staff. This role requires fellowship training, credentialing, and proficiency with EPIC EMR in a locum or locum-to-perm setting.

Schedule Days/Hours for Clinic /Hospital: Mon-Fri 7am to 4:30pm
Number of patients seen per day in clinic: 15-20 patients per day
15-20 patients a day is for follow up it does not include Hospital or infusion patients
Inpatient varies from 6-8 patients a day
New consults between 3 to 5 a day
Call Night /Weekend: One in 4 to 5 (Beeper)
Number of phone Consults: Vary between 2 to 4
Days for Call: One in 4 to 5
Call start: 430pm
Call end: 730pm
Support staff is available:
RN: 6 for both Hem and Med Onc
NP/PA: 1 NP for both
MA: 2 for both
Other staff: Practice Manager, Cancer Center Director, 3 Registration and authorization staff, Genetic
Counselor, Research Nurse"
Age of patients: 21 years and up
Inpatient / Outpatient: Both inpatient and outpatient
Rounding: Once a day
Average Number of Admissions per shift: Varies 1-2
