Job Summary:

 

A Hospital in Concord, MA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled professional with a minimum of two years of experience in critical care or PACU. This role is crucial for providing direct patient care, ensuring patient recovery, and managing all post-anesthesia needs. The nurse must be adept at handling a diverse patient population, including pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Experience & Skills:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in PACU or Critical Care is required.
  • Experience with pediatric patients is necessary.
  • The ideal candidate will be adept at managing patient care post-anesthesia and handling unexpected emergencies.
• Licensure & Certifications:
  • A valid Massachusetts RN License is required.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Shift Details:
  • This position requires working variable 10-hour shifts, including 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 10:00 AM - 7:30 PM, and 12:30 PM - 10:00 PM.
  • On-Call: There is a call requirement of two times per month .
  • Weekends: A weekend requirement of one weekend every six weeks is in place.
  • Holidays: Holidays are required.

• Overtime: Weekly overtime is paid after 40 hours.
