Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for post-operative kidney transplant patients and complex cases in a progressive care unit.
- Perform IV starts, telemonitoring, and invasive hemodynamic assessments, including use of Swan Ganz catheters.
- Administer and manage high-risk therapies such as Milrinone, Dopamine, and Dobutamine.
- Monitor patients with pulmonary hypertension and moderate to high risk for dysrhythmias, ensuring timely interventions.
- Utilize invasive devices and perform assessments every 2 hours as needed, with the capacity to manage multiple high-acuity cases.
- Administer medications and perform procedures in accordance with established protocols, maintaining a focus on patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a similar PCU or ICU setting.
- Current RN license.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- EKG proficiency and bedside skills including IV starts and telehealth monitoring.
