Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic and play a pivotal role in maintaining our fleet of diesel heavy trucks and equipment. You will perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance to ensure our operations run smoothly while contributing to a company that values safety and a family-oriented culture.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, and preventative maintenance
Repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Experience with heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English effectively
Ability to meet physical and safety requirements
Must provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with DPF systems and diagnostic software
Knowledge of DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
