Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll lead a dedicated team in providing quality veterinary care to underserved communities. You'll play a critical role in animal well-being and community support, ensuring high-quality care and outstanding client experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery provided at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and other medical protocols
Support a positive work culture of respect and teamwork
Perform high quality, high volume spay/neuter surgical procedures
Provide preventive and basic care to patients in underserved areas
Triage and refer cases outside Community Medicine parameters
Schedule CM staff veterinarians and per diems
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities
Maintain an open mind regarding changes
Possess ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Excellent work attendance record
Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
