Job Summary:
Assess patients' hearts through detailed ultrasound images taken during an echocardiogram, which evaluates blood flow, valve function, and chamber size. Accurately record patient data and test results. Diagnostic ultrasound procedures may include, but are not limited to, 2-D or 3-D echocardiograms, Strain, Contrast, Doppler, TEE, and Stress Echo.

Required Experience:

• Completion of a cardiac sonographer or echocardiography certificate program.
• BS degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital training/experience required.

Certification/Licensure:

• Certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or through Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
• Active certification/registry.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association) required.

First Day Instructions? /Orientation:

Failure to complete the full orientation will result in immediate termination- once scheduled, candidate does not have the option of rescheduling any classes.

Candidate will receive an email directly from Inspira the Friday before the Monday start. The email will contain the following information;

1. They will receive instructions for signing on to the Virtual Welcome meeting and online Health Stream Module from Human Resources sometime prior to 8:30 on Monday. Monday GEO will be Virtual from their own computer. The modules assigned must be completed by Monday or they will be removed from the orientation list.
2. In person class schedule list - Typically Tues-Thurs- these classes are held in multiple locations. The location may not be listed in the original email, candidate is required to use Health Stream to determine class location day of. Please Note *The POCT class will required to attend and is not during orientation week.
3. Unit based orientation schedule from manager.
4. Badge ID Link - instructions on how to make an appointment t o receive their ID badge in person. Photo submissions are not permitted. Must be complete during orientation. The Badge is required for clock ins.
