Job Description
As a Mammography Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will perform essential radiographic procedures to detect breast tissue abnormalities. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work independently while contributing to patient care in a supportive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure proper patient identification and order verification
Perform radiologic mammography exams per department protocol
Demonstrate positioning competency
Provide information on breast self-examinations
Operate mammographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Use radiation protection to ensure safety
Keep current on new procedures and equipment
Maintain records as required by JCAHO and the Utah State Bureau of Radiation Control
Complete required documentation thoroughly and accurately
Required Qualifications
ARRT registration
Current Rad Tech license in the state of practice
Meet and maintain mammography specific ACR & FDA/MQSA requirements
Meet and maintain the ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced with CT and X-Ray
Experience in Imaging or Mammography
