Unit Overview:
- Unit Type: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
- Beds:
- L&D: 9
- OR Suites: 1
- Triage Beds: 2
- Postpartum Beds: 4
- Births per Year: Approx. 850–900
- Unit Model: LDRP with OB Tech support
- Floating: Closed unit; will only float in emergencies
Required Experience & Skills:
- Must be able to circulate and/or scrub for cesarean sections
- Proficient in reading fetal and telemetry strips (GE Centricity EFM)
- Comfortable with obstetric emergencies including hypertension, hemorrhage, etc.
- Prior LDRP experience preferred
- Ability to titrate the following drips: Pitocin, Lactated Ringers, Fentanyl, Labetalol
Certifications Required:
Licensure:
- Oregon RN License Required – Can submit with license pending
- Facility can obtain a 90-day emergency license upon offer
Additional Unit Details:
- Charge Nurse & House Supervisor on each shift
- OB Techs provide surgical support
- No in-house OB/Neonatologist 24/7
- RT Equipment: 2 vents, 2 bubble CPAPs
- EMR: Meditech
- Scrubs: Provided by facility (Color: Purple)
- Orientation: Provided for all new and incoming RNs
- Call Requirement: 2x12hr call shifts per schedule
- Weekend/Holiday Requirements:
- Every other weekend or 1 per schedule based on seniority
- Holidays per ONA contract
