Job Details:
• Provide specialized nursing care in interventional radiology department under general supervision
• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients throughout their care
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients
• Observe physiological manifestations and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with patients and families regarding care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Oversee treatment provided by technicians and other service providers
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License required
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association required upon hire
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
• Must complete orientation and demonstrate ability to function independently in specialty area
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of team
