Job Description

Join XPO as a Service Center Manager, where you'll lead a team to ensure efficient freight operations while maintaining safety and compliance. You'll leverage your supervisory skills and industry knowledge to drive productivity and enhance service quality in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all employees at the service center
  • Track and audit employee hours, handle payroll issues
  • Administer corrective action and monitor staff development
  • Plan daily manpower needs for timely freight delivery
  • Provide information to employees about productivity and policies
  • Research and implement cost-cutting and efficiency improvements
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Comply with applicable laws and company policies

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry
  • Experience with transportation rules and regulations
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and hazardous materials regulations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • A valid driver's license
  • Availability to work various shifts and travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experience
  • Experience with process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma
  • Forklift experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
