Key Responsibilities
Supervise all employees at the service center
Track and audit employee hours, handle payroll issues
Administer corrective action and monitor staff development
Plan daily manpower needs for timely freight delivery
Provide information to employees about productivity and policies
Research and implement cost-cutting and efficiency improvements
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Comply with applicable laws and company policies
Required Qualifications
5 years of supervisory experience
Thorough knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry
Experience with transportation rules and regulations
Familiarity with OSHA standards and hazardous materials regulations
Experience with Microsoft Office
A valid driver's license
Availability to work various shifts and travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experience
Experience with process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma
Forklift experience
Strong organizational skills
Solid analytical skills
