Position Summary: Rutherford Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift travel contract. The nurse will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages in a collaborative and fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor labor progress and fetal status using approved techniques and equipment
• Administer medications including pain relief and labor induction agents
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Provide postnatal care and newborn assessments
• Educate patients and families on care and recovery procedures
• Accurately document all care activities and outcomes in electronic health records
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and support staff
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and patient safety standards

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Labor and Delivery
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NRP certification required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring and obstetric protocols
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
