Job Description
Join Torchy's Tacos as an Assistant Kitchen Manager, where you will oversee BOH operations, maintain kitchen standards, and develop a passionate team. This role is perfect for results-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are dedicated to serving high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities
Managing food costs, placing orders, updating pricing, and completing inventories
Selecting, interviewing, and hiring all BOH Team Members
Creating BOH Team Member schedules to meet labor targets
Verifying that BOH Team Members follow all recipes and portion servings correctly
Utilizing Mystery Shop and assessment results to develop action plans
Communicating effectively with Team Members
Motivating and leading Team Members
Running shifts and supporting daily operations
Partnering with Learning & Development to ensure BOH Team Members are properly trained
Required Qualifications
3+ years of kitchen management experience
State alcohol-server certification
Manager ServSafe certification
High-level understanding of training and development concepts
Ability to foster teamwork
Leadership skills
Oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
Ability to stand for several hours and walk for long periods
Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
