Key Responsibilities
Teach a curriculum including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Sciences
Develop students’ questioning and data analysis skills
Create an environment for student scientific discourse
Facilitate student-led inquiry and projects
Collaborate with the Science department on academic goals
Analyze student work samples and assessments with leadership
Differentiate instruction for all learners
Build positive relationships with students and families
Engage in professional development and mentorship
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated commitment to supporting students’ social emotional and academic development
Enthusiasm for collaborating with internal and external partners
Self-directed learner who solicits and implements feedback
1-2 years experience in impacting K-12 students in urban schools
Academic expertise in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Preferred Qualifications
Certification eligibility in New York state
