Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a curriculum including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Sciences
  • Develop students’ questioning and data analysis skills
  • Create an environment for student scientific discourse
  • Facilitate student-led inquiry and projects
  • Collaborate with the Science department on academic goals
  • Analyze student work samples and assessments with leadership
  • Differentiate instruction for all learners
  • Build positive relationships with students and families
  • Engage in professional development and mentorship

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting students’ social emotional and academic development
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with internal and external partners
  • Self-directed learner who solicits and implements feedback
  • 1-2 years experience in impacting K-12 students in urban schools
  • Academic expertise in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification eligibility in New York state
  • Degree in education
