Job Description

Join Cargill as an Electrician B and play a crucial role in maintaining and installing electrical systems in a dynamic environment. You'll work alongside a dedicated team to ensure our facilities operate safely and efficiently, while enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in design of electrical projects and install electrical equipment
  • Coordinate efforts with other workers involved in installing and maintaining equipment or components
  • Consult with operators, supervisors, and engineers to plan layout of equipment and to resolve problems
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
  • Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation
  • Repair, install and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components
  • Work extended shifts to support the facility
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations, including the use of proper PPE

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to read/write English
  • Must be able to operate machinery
  • Basic computer skills including being able to enter and retrieve data
  • Must be able to work overtime
  • Must have very good time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Must have a strong commitment to safety

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with wiring and programming Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Experience using electrical test equipment to perform analysis and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code
  • Mechanical aptitude to work from all types of blueprints, maintenance manuals, and drawings
  • Apprentice, Journeyman or above license with the state of Nebraska or equivalent
  • A 2-year degree in electromechanical, electrical system, or equivalent
