Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician, where you'll ensure our outside plant facilities operate at maximum efficiency. You'll engage in a variety of tasks from placing cables to performing construction work, all while contributing to the reliability of America's fastest network.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant cables and associated hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree
2 or more years of relevant work experience
