As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines, conducting services and counseling during significant moments in their lives. This role involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including leading worship, performing ceremonies, and advising on morale and ethics.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings and funerals
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Provide spiritual guidance and care to hospitalized personnel and families
Train lay leaders for religious education
Promote attendance at religious services and events
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
