Join UCHealth as a Behavioral Health Clinical Co-Responder, where you'll support the Aurora Police Department's Crisis Response Team. Utilize your expertise in mental health assessments and case management to make a significant impact in crisis intervention.
Determines priorities and provides and/or arranges for needed internal and external services/interventions
Participates in case reviews to evaluate case management and progress
Consults with healthcare team members to promote, monitor and evaluate compliance with patient's treatment plan
Responds in the field as a co-responder with local law enforcement to patients in active crisis
Identifies appropriate resources including transportation, housing, healthcare, and social/spiritual services, and provides referrals as part of the field response
Supervises and/or trains new staff, students and interns
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Service or Behavioral Health related field
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Counselor (MFT), or Licensed Addiction Counselor (ACD)
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of relevant experience
3 years of work experience within the field of crisis intervention
