About the unit
With 2 floors and 165 beds we are able to provide care for long term care residents and post-acute rehab patients. Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population you will be serving. It has a long term care unit and a rehab unit. Each floor has designated units that focus on patient specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries and cancer. Offers integrated services with a common mission: to provide goal orientated, compassionate care while living a healthy and active life to the greatest level possible.
About Rehab and Nursing Center-Kentridge
Our indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to provide opportunities for improving independence, strength, and confidence. Two main floor courtyards provide outdoor space for rest and renewal. Most patient rooms are private, and have an attached bathroom and shower, television with cable, phone, and a large window. Each unit has a large and accessible living and dining space, and a menu-based meal service is provided.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of the LPN license with a solid clinical background and supervisory/management experience.
Assumes shift accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing service. Some service lines may require the ability to be available for on-call to better support the nursing services. Assists with development of policies, procedures and processes in coordination with unit leaders to ensure the highest quality services are provided at all times to all customers. Key responsibilities include assisting with the following: department based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement and maintenance of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships. Will provide oversight to the registered nurse and licensed practical nurse clinical practices. Assume House Supervisor role as needed.
Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
