Key Responsibilities

  • Support development and integration of communications subsystems
  • Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
  • Perform model-based systems engineering and capture requirements
  • Conduct performance and functional analyses
  • Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain supplier documentation
  • Perform testing of subsystem requirements in the lab
  • Support technical discussions with customers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related experience, or Master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or Ph.D. and 1 year of experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum
  • Experience in designing, integrating, testing, and operating communication systems in airborne military applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and data analysis experience
  • Knowledge of system engineering design methods
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with RF antenna and component design
  • Experience in model-based systems engineering using SysML tools
  • Experience in performance analysis using MATLAB and Excel
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
  • Experience in supplier/subcontract management
