Join Travelers as a Senior Risk Control Consultant, where you'll partner with Underwriters to evaluate and manage complex risk factors for some of the largest accounts. This role emphasizes collaboration, detailed risk assessments, and providing actionable solutions to mitigate losses, all while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Underwriters with account knowledge related to hazards, controls, and management
Evaluate how companies identify and manage inherent risk factors
Complete risk assessment evaluations for complex businesses
Write detailed reports communicating risk assessments and recommendations
Identify uncontrolled exposures and influence customers for improvements
Stay current with technical subjects, regulatory environment, and emerging issues
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or graduate degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, basic sciences, or related technical fields
Seven years of experience in safety, risk control/management, or related field
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced level knowledge of insurance industry and business acumen
Recognized relevant certifications (such as ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS)
Technical aptitude, detail-oriented
Superior communication skills - both written and verbal
Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport
