PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Dallas, TX 75230 (Texas nursing jobs)
• Facility: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), 16 beds
• Assignment Type: Travel RN assignment
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1360 - $1460
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Ability to float to Medical Surgical (Med Surg) and PCU units as needed

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a 16-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, techs, and charge nurses, to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications using Meditech EMR
• Maintain compliance with unit guidelines, hospital policies, and dress code (royal blue scrubs)
• Float between Med Surg and PCU units as required
