Key Responsibilities
Meet new business and profit goals of the assigned region
Develop a book of business within the region
Manage portfolio results and distribution management
Establish and communicate underwriting profit goals
Analyze individual risks and book of business results
Provide leadership and act as a subject matter expert
Partner with the SVP of Underwriting to develop strategies
Participate in the recruitment and selection process
Cultivate and maintain relationships to drive new business opportunities
Represent the company at networking functions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
7+ years' related experience
Experience with core inland marine lines
Proven leadership capabilities
Demonstrates strong ability to partner with finance, actuarial, IT and marketing resources
Independent decision maker
Recognized as a leader within the organization
Demonstrates knowledge of the Inland Marine external market
