Vice President of Sales – Food Industry
Location: Overland Park, Kansas| $225-250k/year + 40% bonus eligibility
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced sales executive to lead business development and drive revenue growth in the foodservice and food manufacturing sectors. This strategic leadership role oversees a national sales team, manages large accounts, and works cross-functionally to expand market share, optimize margins, and build long-term customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set vision and direction for sales in the foodservice and manufacturing channels
- Align sales goals with company strategy and execute national growth initiatives
- Lead acquisition of key accounts across foodservice, manufacturing, and distribution
- Create pipeline opportunities and drive demand generation initiatives
- Represent the company at major industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
- Manage and mentor a high-performing sales team
- Build trusted relationships with distributors, manufacturers, operators, and large chain customers
- Negotiate major contracts and develop tailored solutions in partnership with R&D
- Oversee pipeline management, reporting, and forecasting
- Collaborate across marketing, finance, and operations to ensure a smooth sales cycle and high client satisfaction
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree Or MBA strongly preferred
- 15+ years in foodservice preferred
- Proven ability to lead large sales organizations and deliver profitable growth
- Deep understanding of foodservice distribution and B2B food manufacturing
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to drive strategic change
