Key Responsibilities
Providing visionary leadership and strategic guidance to elevate student achievement
Participating in the hiring and selection processes
Guiding and assisting teachers in managing classroom schedules and student transition plans
Consulting with and supporting teachers in the classroom
Supervising staff and providing targeted feedback
Ensuring a safe and secure learning atmosphere
Maintaining compliance with contractual and state-specific requirements
Overseeing daily school operations and resource allocation
Communicating and collaborating with families and community stakeholders
Analyzing staff professional development needs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a closely related field of study
Minimum 5 years prior experience in special education services and compliance
Minimum 3 years prior experience working in an educational leadership or school administrator position
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an education leadership, principal, general administration or related credential
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a special education instruction credential
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in educational leadership, special education, behavioral health or a closely related field of study
Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and school operations, admission and enrollment procedures, accreditation laws and regulations
Prior experience and/or knowledge in the development, assessment, and management of curriculum, content areas and instruction
