Physician Assistant – Aviation Medicine / Primary Care
Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas
Full-Time | $70 per hour
Work Schedule
• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• One-hour unpaid meal break
Position Overview
You will deliver primary care and aviation medicine services for flight and special duty personnel. You will perform exams, diagnose and treat patients, manage preventive care, and support flight readiness programs.
Key Duties
• Provide comprehensive medical and occupational health evaluations
• Conduct flight physicals and aeromedical dispositions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Perform minor procedures and emergency interventions
• Administer immunizations and medications
• Serve as Primary Care Manager for assigned patients
• Support training and professional education efforts
• Participate in clinical meetings and working groups
• Document in MHS Genesis, ASIMS, AIMWTS, and PEPP
Common Procedures
• Airway management and cardioversion
• Minor surgical procedures (biopsies, suturing, drainage)
• IV, IM, and SC medication administration
• Splinting, bandaging, and trauma stabilization
• Aeromedical evaluations and profiling
Qualifications
• Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies (ARC-PA accredited)
• 3 years of experience as a PA, with 18–24 months in Family Health
• NCCPA certified with current maintenance of certification
• Active, unrestricted PA license
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification
• Eligible for government background check and security clearance
• Completion of USAF-SAM Aerospace Medicine Primary Courses (AMP 101/201/202/301) or equivalent

• BLS certification copy (AHA or ARC only)
• Diploma or transcript (Master’s in PA Studies)
• Proof of Aerospace Medicine course completion

• Letter of attestation for maintaining required certifications
