Job Description
Join ABF Freight as a Local CDL-A Truck Driver and enjoy home daily routes along with excellent benefits. This role involves loading and unloading cargo, operating forklifts, and ensuring safe transportation, all while receiving competitive pay and union benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload cargo
Perform check-in, tractor/trailer inspections, and cargo pickup and delivery
Exercise independent judgment regarding trailer building and tearing down
Operate a forklift as needed
Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets
Required Qualifications
Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements
Minimum 21 years of age
Good stable work record
Safe driving record
Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements
Availability to work required hours including days, nights, and/or weekends
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience
