Job Description

Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and maintain our fleet of diesel heavy trucks. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment
  • Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
  • Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
  • Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment OR training from a recognized trade school
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Meet physical and safety requirements
  • Provide own tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
  • Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems
  • Familiarity with diagnostic software (e.g., Premium Tech Tool, Allison transmission, Cummins, CAT, Peterbilt, Paccar)
  • Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA standards
