Every other weekend required
Certifications Required:

Scope of Role:
CVIC nurses rotate between ICU and step-down. Responsibilities include:
Invasive line monitoring
Central line management
Ventilator care
Chest tube management
Vasoactive drip titration
Bedside procedures
Required Skills:
Proficiency with chest tubes and central lines
Strong background in caring for critically ill cardiothoracic and vascular patients
Unit Details:
42 total beds (22 ICU and 20 Step-Down)
Patient ratios:
ICU: 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 (depending on acuity/staffing)
Step-Down: 4:1 or 5:1
Floating required to other ICUs
EMR: Cerner
