Join Chesapeake Oncology Hematology Associates as a Medical Assistant Instructor, where you'll play a vital role in patient care and training new medical assistants. Key Responsibilities
Escort patients and complete patient intake
Clean and straighten exam room
Prepare syringes and administer injections
Assist provider with injectable procedures
Prepare and route pathology and lab specimens
Respond to patient questions
Schedule or re-schedule appointments
Comply with OSHA and HIPAA standards
Maintain medication samples and records
Train other employees on medical assistant duties
Assist with front desk procedures
Perform additional duties as required
Required Qualifications
At least one (1) year of medical assisting experience
Completion of a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant program
Professionalism and strong customer service skills
Ability to communicate clearly with doctors, patients, and co-workers
Ability to lift at least 15 pounds
Ability to stand for prolonged periods
Preferred Qualifications
