Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. Key Responsibilities

  • Support new and experienced veterinarians
  • Lead a high-functioning team
  • Perform high-quality spay/neuter surgeries
  • Oversee and monitor medical care provided
  • Train staff in medical protocols
  • Provide compassionate veterinary care
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage team dynamics

Required Qualifications

  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
  • Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
  • Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
  • Excellent work attendance record
  • Fear FreeĀ® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous people management experience
