The Complex Director of Finance leads financial operations at the hotel, ensuring profitability and compliance with regulations. This role involves managing cash flow, preparing financial statements, and supervising staff to maintain high accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and communicate cash flow related issues.
Monitor hotel revenues and expenses.
Create annual budgets and monthly variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with regulatory licenses and permits.
Analyze financial data and operations.
Comply with Standard Accounting policies and procedures.
Timely reviews and approvals of all balance sheet accounts.
Establish and audit all internal financial controls.
Complete all internal and external financial audits.
Hire, train, supervise and develop staff.
Ensure compliance with Highgate Hotels standards and regulations.
Prepare financial reports in accordance with Highgate Hotels requirements.
Interact with Executive Committee members regarding property operations.
Monitor compliance with report deadlines.
Execute other special projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
At least 5 or more years of Hospitality Finance/Accounting experience.
Prior Control or Director of Finance experience, preferably at a premium-branded Hotel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelors degree required preferably in Finance or Accounting.
Must supervise 2 or more employees.
Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing and in the operation of all hotel-specific systems.
