MBA Program Tuition College of Business Career Services Specialist Full-time Part-time FTE The Office of Graduate Career Services (GCS) within the Harbert College of Business is accepting applications for the position of Career Services Specialist. This position will report to the director of Graduate Career Services. The Career Services Specialist will be responsible for managing and delivering the career coaching process to full-time students enrolled in the graduate business programs, with a primary focus on serving the full-time MBA students. This position will help students with analyzing their career goals and guiding them through one-on-one and/or group coaching to determine career paths to pursue. The Graduate Career Services team strives daily to deliver on the Harbert College of Business' mission to develop highly desired graduates and produce knowledge that drives industry thought and practice. We do this by providing students transformative professional development and exceptional career search and management coaching from the moment of program admission through graduation and beyond. GCS is a department of the Office of Graduate Programs, which administers the Harbert College of Business' nationally recognized full-time, online, and executive master's degree programs. Career and professional development support is provided to more than 1,000 students currently enrolled in full time and online MBA, MS in Finance, and MS in Information Systems programs as well as Executive MBA, Physicians Executive MBA, MS in Supply Chain Management and Master of Real Estate Development programs. Provides individual and group career coaching to include (but not limited to) career development, career choice, workplace transition, and career development issues for all full-time graduate business students. Assists with the development, coordination, planning and execution of the career development programming needed to build or improve career competencies of students. Programming includes our NavigateU series, workshops, seminars, networking events, etc. Collaborates with the director and assistant director on the vision, design, and execution of all career coaching, programming, teaching assignments, training, and assessments for the full-time graduate students. May serve as a liaison between students, alumni, and employers and encourage students to research companies and practice interviewing skills. Documents, reports on, and/or maintains records and evaluation information from all coaching and program sessions in Career Compass (powered by 12Twenty). Facilitates internship and full-time outcomes reporting in Career Compass Assists with the training and supervision of Graduate Career Services (GCS) graduate assistants in completing day-to-day responsibilities as well as executing career development programming and events Coordinates with the graduate student services team to ensure a holistic and cohesive student experience. Assists with planning and execution of employer and alumni career events every semester. Serves on the full-time MBA admissions committee. May also assist with other projects and responsibilities as assigned by the director of Graduate Career Services (GCS).
