Job Description

As an EMS Clinical Coordinator, you will oversee the Paramedic Clinical/Field Education Program, ensuring compliance and quality in student placements while fostering relationships with healthcare agencies. This role involves supervising students in clinical settings and providing them with essential feedback for their development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of the Paramedic Clinical/Field Education Program
  • Communicate with hospitals and EMS agencies for student placements
  • Monitor compliance with student requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clinical and field internship agencies
  • Schedule students for clinical and field internship rotations
  • Supervise and assess students during clinical rotations
  • Provide feedback and counseling to students regarding performance
  • Revise evaluation forms to meet state and accreditation requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred
  • AHA ACLS Instructor certification
  • Certified Paramedic or Licensed Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in a field/clinical setting as Paramedic or Registered Nurse
  • Current certification/licensure in the Program state

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in supervision of staff
  • EMS educational program development
  • Documented teaching experience
  • Instructor of either PALS or PEPP or EPC
  • PHTLS or ITLS Instructor
  • Completion of an approved Instructor course
