Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic, where you will perform essential maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel trucks while contributing to a company that values innovation, safety, and a family-style culture.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of diesel heavy trucks and engines
Utilize diagnostic software for interpreting failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Experience with heavy-duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English well
Meet physical and safety requirements
Provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy-duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems and diagnostic software
Working knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards
