Position Summary: Paris Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join its Orthopedic Unit on the night shift. The RN will provide specialized care for patients recovering from musculoskeletal surgeries and injuries, focusing on pain management, mobility restoration, and post-operative recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
  • Monitor post-operative patients for complications, pain levels, and healing progress
  • Administer medications, assist with mobility devices, and provide wound care
  • Support patients through physical rehabilitation and educate on recovery goals
  • Maintain detailed documentation in electronic health records
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, therapists, and allied health professionals
  • Promote a safe environment and adhere to hospital safety and infection control protocols

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 2 years of recent orthopedic or surgical nursing experience preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong understanding of orthopedic procedures such as joint replacement and fracture care
  • Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced unit and support multidisciplinary teamwork
