The Academic/Faculty/Research Physician provides patient care, supervises medical residents and fellows, and participates in research and quality improvement initiatives. This role requires an MD or DO degree, board certification, state licensure, and experience in a hospital setting. The physician also contributes to education, communication, and financial planning within a non-profit healthcare organization.
