Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, and provide rehabilitative and therapeutic services to patients of all ages
Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
Identify barriers to performing activities of daily living (ADLs) and establish goals for therapy
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Utilize therapeutic techniques and interventions to enhance patients’ functional abilities
Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment
Educate patients and families on therapeutic strategies
Provide guidance on adapting home and work environments
Maintain accurate and timely patient records
Communicate progress and recommendations to healthcare professionals
Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
Participate in case conferences and team meetings
Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulations
Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
State licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist
Basic Life Support through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
Experience in acute care rehabilitation
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Familiarity with evidence-based therapy practices
