Job Description

Join ChanceLight as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of middle and high school students. You will provide clinical and educational support, lead training initiatives, and ensure compliance with educational standards in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive training and ongoing support to teachers and educational staff in developing effective functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Monitoring and evaluating the quality and effectiveness of academic and behavioral services provided to students
  • Supporting ChanceLight staff by demonstrating and reinforcing effective instructional practices
  • Assessing professional development needs of educational staff and delivering targeted training programs
  • Participating actively in staff development activities
  • Training, certifying, and continually coaching school employees in crisis management systems
  • Assisting in recruitment, hiring processes, orientation, and ongoing training of behavior specialists
  • Researching, evaluating, and recommending evidence-based curricula and instructional resources
  • Developing, implementing, and supervising systems designed to meet the individualized needs of students
  • Conducting regular quality assurance assessments and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with Department of Education regulations and internal policies
  • Performing other duties and/or projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy or a closely related field of study
  • Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) credential
  • Well-versed in applied behavior analysis (ABA) including positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS)
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with autism related disabilities
  • Highly skilled in working with individuals with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and/or other related disabilities
  • Prior experience and highly skilled in crisis management systems and intervention
  • Prior experience and highly knowledgeable in working with students with IEP's
  • Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions
  • Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability
  • Proven success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans for students with diverse needs
  • Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a special education credential
