Job Description
Join Stanford Children's Hospital as a Relief Respiratory Care Practitioner II, where you will perform vital diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient care, ensuring the safe operation of medical devices and participation in clinical rounds.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures
Assist with orientation and training of Level I and Level II therapists
Ensure safe operation of devices in the MRI scanner
Evaluate appropriateness of medical orders and interpret data to optimize patient clinical objectives
Intra-hospital transport of patients requiring mechanical ventilation
Participate in clinical rounds with healthcare providers
Respond to trauma calls in the emergency department
Required Qualifications
Completion of a two (2) year or four (4) year AMA approved respiratory care program
Two (2) years clinical experience CRT
Five (5) years of clinical respiratory care experience for non-degree candidates
Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 90 days of hire
NRP Provider Card by American Academy of Pediatrics
Respiratory Care Practitioner license by California Respiratory Care Board
Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification within 90 days of hire
