Job Description

As the Director of Operations, you will oversee the management of facilities across New York City, ensuring efficient operations and high safety standards. This role involves leading a team, collaborating with contractors, and implementing performance metrics to enhance operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of agency properties across NYC
  • Manage area managers and maintenance teams
  • Ensure prompt resolution of maintenance issues
  • Develop performance metrics for property operations
  • Collaborate with external contractors for complex issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years as a tradesperson in mechanical, plumbing, or electrical fields
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience
  • Knowledge of technical building systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hybrid role with both field and office responsibilities
  • Familiarity with life safety system requirements and contract management
  • Ability to develop and analyze performance metrics
  • Prior experience managing large real estate portfolios
