Job Description
Join Raytheon as a Principal GPS Systems Engineer to develop cutting-edge GPS electronics solutions for missile products. Leverage your engineering expertise to collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze hardware designs, and ensure compliance with requirements while contributing to national defense.
Key Responsibilities
Develop GPS electronics solutions for missile products
Collaborate with missile level system engineers
Conduct analysis and modeling for GPS sub-assemblies
Document subsystem requirements and test plans
Interface with suppliers of navigation electronics components
Support multiple programs and collaborate with various teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in STEM
Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience
Experience in developing RF electrical subsystems
Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance
U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Background in detailed design and troubleshooting of missile radar and RF seeker subsystems
Experience in systems engineering and architecture
Recent experience with integrated Guidance Electronics systems using GPS and IMU navigation
Knowledge and/or experience with M-Code
Familiarity with Matlab scripting and tools
Experience with hardware integration and testing
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
Knowledge of DOD Hardware development process
Experience in developing proposals
Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
