Lee Health Heart Institute is seeking a board-certified Cardiac Surgeon to perform advanced cardiac surgeries such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, and device implants. The candidate should have fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery and expertise in minimally invasive techniques and ventricular assist devices. Lee Health Heart Institute is actively searching for a Cardiac Surgeon to join our busy and growing comprehensive cardiac program.

Our current program consists of two fulltime Cardiac Surgeons . This surgeon will join our team in performing foundational cardiac surgery including CABG, open Valve repair/replacement as well as dissections. However, we are seeking a surgeon with niche skills that will assist us with the growth and development of our program to the next level. (i.e. Minimally invasive valve surgery, AHF device implants, etc.)

Requirements:

  • ACGME Fellowship Training in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Board Certified Thoracic Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
  • Active, Unrestricted State of Florida Medical License (or the ability to obtain prior to start with the organization)
  • Active, Unrestricted DEA
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Current Certification for Implantation of Durable, Implantable Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs) with case logs in the past 12 months to validate competency
