Key Responsibilities
Provide care to pediatric patients with neurological conditions
Conduct comprehensive health assessments and preoperative evaluations
Collaborate with neurosurgeons and healthcare team members
Manage patient communications and coordinate care
Participate in clinical trials and quality improvement initiatives
Assist in staff resource planning and training
Educate and mentor nurses, APPs, and medical students
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited Nursing Program or Physician Assistant's program
Active RN and APRN license in Texas or PA license in Texas
Active board certification as an Acute Care Pediatric NP or PA
Active DEA license or ability to apply for it
Current CPR and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of experience in pediatric neurosurgery or related surgical practice
Experience with large research projects and clinical trials
