Key Responsibilities
Complete and submit electronic patient care record for each dispatched flight
Conduct daily base checks including narcotic count
Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care
Maintain documentation of required licensure, certifications, and continuing education
Use and maintain all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs
Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues and the public
Function as a medical flight member and assist in pre-mission briefings
Comply with safety standards prior to liftoff
Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed
Fill open or vacant shifts as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director
Required Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting
Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred, required within 24 months from date of hire
Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area
