Project Controls & Procurement Specialist Project Controls & Procurement Specialist The Project Controls and Procurement Specialist will have diverse responsibilities, including project planning and scheduling, cost tracking, procurement, and documentation.This role will contribute to a project team supporting projects from early-stage engineering through construction. Support project management in Requests for Proposal preparation and bid evaluations. • Assist Material Coordinators with material procurement for projects. • Create and route project requisitions. • Create purchase orders (POs) and manage contractor communication via the FS2 Portal. • Assist and audit Site View entries. • Ensure project invoices are accurately prepared and submitted timely. • Monitor expected and actual delivery dates of materials. • Collect, analyze, and report committed and actual costs for the project. • Update monthly project forecast in the cost controls system. • Perform cost variance analysis. • Monitor project budgets and contract commitments. • Make occasional field trips. • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential. • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations. • Associates degree or higher in related field • Competent in SharePoint, Projects for the Web, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite applications • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project controls and material procurement • Employment type Contract Job function Project Management and Information Technology Sign in to set job alerts for “Project Control Specialist” roles.
