As an Inventory Specialist at Walgreens, you will be responsible for executing and monitoring inventory practices across the store, ensuring accuracy in both front end and pharmacy inventory management. Your role will involve engaging customers, coaching team members, and maintaining compliance with inventory regulations, all while contributing to a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures
Support pharmacy inventory management activities including receiving, counting, and facilitating returns
Engage customers and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience
Coach team members on inventory management processes
Maintain accurate inventory counts and compliance with state and local laws
Assist in the maintenance of inventory records and preparation for physical inventory
Required Qualifications
Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens or one year of prior retail work experience
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
Achieving expectations rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (for internal candidates)
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage execution
Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate
Prior work experience with Walgreens with an evaluation on file
