Job Description
Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you'll evaluate and treat patients to improve or restore their function. Engage in community education and clinical training while working collaboratively in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards.
Conducts and modifies evaluations and establishes individualized goals.
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques.
Administers physical agents and manual therapy.
Educates patients/families on home exercise programs.
Determines patient discharge when appropriate.
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines.
Communicates effectively with interdepartmental staff and referring physicians.
Submits daily charges accurately.
Adheres to professional ethics and safety standards.
Supervises affiliated students.
Attends continuing education courses.
Participates in departmental or community in-services.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic personal computer skills in Windows programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Reliable transportation to travel between multiple work sites.
