School Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated School Nurse to join our team. The School Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students and staff, promoting health education, and ensuring a safe and healthy school environment.

Responsibilities:

· Perform health screenings, including vision and hearing tests

· Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

· Respond to medical emergencies and provide initial care

· Maintain accurate medical records for students and staff

· Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support student well-being

· Educate students on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices

· Monitor immunization compliance and health trends within the school community

Experience:

· Previous experience in a school setting is preferred

· Knowledge of basic life support techniques

· Understanding of human physiology and common childhood illnesses

· Familiarity with managing medical emergencies in a school setting

Education Requirements:

· BSN or ASN from a Nursing program

· RN or LVN License in the state of MA

· BLS/CPR certification

Pay: $45.00 - $49.00 per hour
